Ardakan Steel Reduction Plant

This project is defined to produce sponge iron from pellets by MIDREX technology.
The plant production capacity is expected to be 960 thousand tones sponge iron per
year. ARDEKAN DRI plant is located in the vicinity of the Iranian Ghadir Steel and
Ardakan palletzing plant. The Significant point in this project is increasing the plant
normal operating capacity from 800 thousand tones to 960 thousand tones, which
demonstrates the extended expertise and know‐how of MIDREX technology in Iran.
Scope of work includes engineering services; procurement of equipment,
consumables and spare parts, construction works, transportation, installation and
testing the equipment and commissioning the plant. Warranty and after sales
services are also included.
